And he took up his parable and said -Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me , and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is

exist in the time of trouble; rejecting all the wicked and ungodly. Enoch, a righteous man, who was with God, answered and spoke, while his eyes were open, and while he saw a holy vision in the heavens. This the angels showed me. 1:2From them I heard all things, and understood what I saw; that which will not take place in this generation, but in a generation which is to succeed

exist on the day of tribulation when all the wicked and impious shall be removed.1:2 And then answered and spoke Enoch, a just man, whose eyes were opened by God so that he saw a holy vision in the heavens, which the angels showed to me, and from them I heard everything, and I knew what I saw, but not for this generation, but for the far-off generations which are

1:3 for to come. Concerning the elect I said, and took up my parable concerning them: The Holy Great One will come forth from His dwelling,
at a distant period, on account of the elect. 1:3Upon their account I spoke and conversed with him, who will go forth from his habitation, the Holy and Mighty One,
to come.1:3 Concerning the chosen I spoke and conversed concerning them with the Holy and Great One, who will come from his abode,
1:4 And the eternal God will tread upon the earth, (even) on Mount Sinai, [And appear from His camp] And appear in the strength of His might from the heaven of heavens.
the God of the world: 1:4Who will hereafter tread upon Mount Sinai; appear with his hosts; and be manifested in the strength of his power from heaven.
the God of the world.1:4 And from there he will step on to Mount Sinai, and appear with his hosts, and appear in the strength of his power from heaven.
1:5 And all shall be smitten with fear And the Watchers shall quake, And great fear and trembling shall seize them unto the ends of the earth.
All shall be afraid, and the Watchers be terrified. 1:5Great fear and trembling shall seize them, even to the ends of the earth.
1:5 And all will fear, and the watchers will tremble, and great fear and terror will seize them to the ends of the earth.
1:6 And the high mountains shall be shaken, And the high hills shall be made low, And shall melt like wax before the flame
1:6The lofty mountains shall be troubled, and the exalted hills depressed, melting like a honeycomb in the flame.
1:6 And the exalted mountains will be shaken, and the high hills will be lowered, and will melt like wax before the flame.
1:7 And the earth shall be wholly rent in sunder, And all that is upon the earth shall perish, And there shall be a judgement upon all (men).
The earth shall be immerged, and all things which are in it perish; while judgment shall come upon all,
1:7 And the earth will be submerged, and everything that is on the earth will be destroyed, and there will be a judgment upon every thing, and upon all the just.
1:8 But with the righteous He will make peace. And will protect the elect, And mercy shall be upon them. And they shall all belong to God, And they shall be prospered, And they shall all be blessed. And He will help them all, And light shall appear unto them, And He will make peace with them'.

even upon all the righteous: 1:7But to them shall he give peace: he shall preserve the elect, and towards them exercise clemency. 1:8Then shall all belong to God; be happy and blessed; and the splendour of the Godhead shall illuminate them.
1:8 But to the just he will give peace, and will protect the chosen, and mercy will abide over them, and they will all be God’s, and will be prosperous and blessed, and the light of God will shine for them.
1:9 And behold! He cometh with ten thousands of His holy ones To execute judgement upon all, And to destroy all the ungodly: And to convict all flesh Of all the works of their ungodliness which they have ungodly committed, And of all the hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.
2:1'Behold, he comes with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked, and reprove all the carnal for everything which the sinful and ungodly have done, and committed against him.
1:9 And behold, he comes with myriads of the holy to pass judgment upon them, and will destroy the impious, and will call to account all flesh for everything the sinners and the impious have done and committed against him.

The Book of Enoch ~ Chapter 2 |
2:1 Observe ye everything that takes place in the heaven, how they do not change their orbits, and the luminaries which are in the heaven, how they all rise and set in order each in its season, and
All who are in the heavens know what is transacted there. 3:2They know that the heavenly luminaries change not their paths; that each rises and sets regularly, every one at its proper period,
2:1 I observed everything that took place in the heavens, how the luminaries, which are in the heavens, do not depart from their paths, that each one rises and sets in order, each in its time, and
2:2 transgress not against their appointed order. Behold ye the earth, and give heed to the things which take place upon it from first to last, how steadfast they are, how none of the things upon earth
without transgressing the commands, which they have received. The behold the earth, and understand what is there transacted, from the beginning to the end of it.
they do not depart from their laws.2:2 See the earth and observe the things that are done on it, from the first to the last, how no work of God is irregular in appearing.
2:3 change, but all the works of God appear to you. Behold the summer and the winter, how the whole earth is filled with water, and clouds and dew and rain lie upon it.
3:3They see that every work of God is invariable in the period of its appearance. They behold summer and winter: perceiving that the whole earth is full of water; and that the cloud, the dew, and the rain refresh it.
2:3 See the summer and the winter, how then the whole earth is full of water, and clouds and dew and rain rest over it.

The Book of Enoch ~ Chapter 3 |
3:1 Observe and see how (in the winter) all the trees seem as though they had withered and shed all their leaves, except fourteen trees, which do not lose their foliage but retain the old foliage from two to three years till the new comes.
4:1They consider and behold every tree, how it appears to wither, and every leaf to fall off, except of fourteen trees, which are not deciduous; which wait from the old, to the appearance of the new leaf, for two or three winters.
3:1 I observed and saw how then all the trees appeared as if withered, and all their leaves are shaken off, except fourteen trees, whose leaves are not shaken off, but which abide with the old from two to three years, till the new come.

The Book of Enoch ~ Chapter 4 |
4:1 And again, observe ye the days of summer how the sun is above the earth over against it. And you seek shade and shelter by reason of the heat of the sun, and the earth also burns with growing heat, and so you cannot tread on the earth, or on a rock by reason of its heat.
5:1Again they consider the days of summer, that the sun is upon it at its very beginning; while you seek for a covered and shady spot on account of the burning sun; while the earth is scorched up with fervid heat, and you become incapable of walking either upon the ground or upon the rocks in consequence of that heat.
4:1 And again I observed the days of summer, how the sun is then above it [i.e. the earth], opposite to it, but ye seek cool and shady places on account of the heat of the sun, and the earth also burns with fervent heat, but ye cannot step on the earth or on a rock because of their heat.

The Book of Enoch ~ Chapter 5 |
5:1 Observe ye how the trees cover themselves with green leaves and bear fruit: wherefore give ye heed and know with regard to all His works, and recognize how He that liveth for ever hath made them so.
6:1They consider how the trees, when they put forth their green leaves, become covered, and produce fruit; understanding everything, and knowing that He who lives for ever does all these things for you:
5:1 I observed how the trees cover themselves with the green of the leaves and bear fruit; but observe ye all this and learn how he who lives forever has made all these for you;
5:2 And all His works go on thus from year to year for ever, and all the tasks which they accomplish for Him, and their tasks change not, but according as God hath ordained so is it done.
6:2That the works at the beginning of every existing year, that all his works, are subservient to him, and invariable; yet as God has appointed, so are all things brought to pass.
5:2 how his works are before him in every year that comes, and all his works serve him and are not changed, but as God has ordained, so everything takes place.
5:3 And behold how the sea and the rivers in like manner accomplish and change not their tasks from His commandments'.
6:3They see, too, how the seas and the rivers together complete their respective operations:
5:3 And see how the seas and the rivers together accomplish their work.
5:4 But ye -ye have not been steadfast, nor done the commandments of the Lord, But ye have turned away and spoken proud and hard words With your impure mouths against His greatness. Oh, ye hard-hearted, ye shall find no peace.
6:4But you endure not patiently, nor fulfill the commandments of the Lord; but you transgress and calumniate his greatness; and malignant are the words in your polluted mouths against his Majesty. 6:5You withered in heart, no peace shall be to you!
5:4 But ye have not persevered and have not done the commandment of the Lord, but have transgressed, and have slandered his greatness with high and hard words from your unclean mouths. Ye hard-hearted, ye will have no peace.
5:5 Therefore shall ye execrate your days, And the years of your life shall perish, And the years of your destruction shall be multiplied in eternal execration, And ye shall find no mercy.
6:6Therefore your days shall you curse, and the years of your lives shall perish; perpetual execration shall be multiplied, and you shall not obtain mercy.
5:5 And therefore ye will curse your days, and the years of your lives perish; the everlasting curse will increase and ye will receive no mercy.
5:6 In those days ye shall make your names an eternal execration unto all the righteous, And by you shall all who curse, curse, And all the sinners and godless shall imprecate by you, And for you the godless there shall be a curse. And all the . . . shall rejoice, And there shall be forgiveness of sins, And every mercy and peace and forbearance: There shall be salvation unto them, a goodly light. And for all of you sinners there shall be no salvation, But on you all shall abide a curse.
6:7In those days shall you resign your peace with the eternal maledictions of all the righteous, and sinners shall perpetually execrate you; 6:8Shall execrate you with the ungodly. 6:10But you, you unholy, shall be accursed.
5:6 On that day ye will give away your peace for an everlasting curse to all the just, and they will ever curse you as sinners, you together with the sinners.
5:7 But for the elect there shall be light and joy and peace, And they shall inherit the earth.
6:9The elect shall possess light, joy, and peace; and they shall inherit the earth.
5:7 but for the chosen there will be light and joy and peace, and they will inherit the earth, but for you, the impious, there will be a curse.
5:8 And then there shall be bestowed upon the elect wisdom, And they shall all live and never again sin, Either through ungodliness or through pride: But they who are wise shall be humble.
6:11Then shall wisdom be given to the elect, all of whom shall live, and not again transgress by impiety or pride; but shall humble themselves, possessing prudence,
5:8 And then also wisdom will be given to the chosen, and they will all live and not continue to sin; neither through wickedness nor through pride; but they in whom there is wisdom will be humble
5:9 And they shall not again transgress, Nor shall they sin all the days of their life, Nor shall they die of (the divine) anger or wrath, But they shall complete the number of the days of their life. And their lives shall be increased in peace, And the years of their joy shall be multiplied, In eternal gladness and peace, All the days of their life.
and shall not repeat transgression. 6:12They shall not be condemned the whole period of their lives, not die in torment and indignation; but the sum of their days shall be completed, and they shall grow old in peace; while the years of their happiness shall be multiplied with joy, and with peace, for ever, the whole duration of their existence.
without continuing to sin.5:9 And they will not be punished all the days of their lives, and will not die through plagues or judgments of wrath, but the number of the days of their lives will be completed, and their lives will become old in peace, and the years of their joy will be many in everlasting happiness and peace, for all the days of their lives.

beautiful and comely daughters were born to them.6:2 And the angels, the sons of the heavens, saw and lusted after them, and said one to another: "Behold, we will choose for ourselves wives from among the children of men,

that we will not change our intention, but execute our projected undertaking. 7:7Then they swore all together, and all bound themselves

And I saw the spirits of the sons of men who were dead;

I exclaimed, How beautiful is this tree, and how delightful is its appearance! 31:5Then holy Raphael, an angel who was with me, answered and said, This is the tree of knowledge, of which your ancient father and your aged mother ate, who were before you; and who, obtaining knowledge, their eyes being opened, and knowing themselves to be naked, were expelled from the garden.

The Book of Enoch ~ Chapter 38 |

38:1 When the congregation of the righteous shall appear, And sinners shall be judged for their sins, And shall be driven from the face of the earth:
38:1Parable the first. When the congregation of the righteous shall be manifested; and sinners be judged for their crimes, and be troubled in the sight of the world;
38:1 First Parable. When the congregation of the just shall appear, and the sinners are condemned because of their sins, and expelled from the face of the earth,
38:2 And when the Righteous One shall appear before the eyes of the righteous, Whose elect works hang upon the Lord of Spirits, And light shall appear to the righteous and the elect who dwell on the earth, Where then will be the dwelling of the sinners, And where the resting-place of those who have denied the Lord of Spirits? It had been good for them if they had not been born.
38:2When righteousness shall be manifested in the presence of the righteous themselves, who will be elected for their good works duly weighed by the Lord of spirits; and when the light of the righteous and the elect, who dwell on earth, shall be manifested; where will the habitation of sinners be? And where the place of rest for those who have rejected the Lord of spirits? It would have been better for them, had they never been born.
38:2 and when the Just One shall appear in the presence of the just who are chosen, whose deeds hang on the Lord of the spirits, and the light shall appear to the just and to the chosen, who dwell on the earth,—where will be the habitation of the sinners, and where the resting-places of those who have denied the Lord of the spirits? It were better had they not been born.
38:3 When the secrets of the righteous shall be revealed and the sinners judged, And the godless driven from the presence of the righteous and elect,
38:3When, too, the secrets of the righteous shall be revealed, then shall sinners be judged; and impious men shall be afflicted in the presence of the righteous and the elect.
38:3 And when the secrets of the just shall be revealed, then the sinners will be judged, and the impious will be expelled from the presence of the just and chosen.
38:4 From that time those that possess the earth shall no longer be powerful and exalted: And they shall not be able to behold the face of the holy, For the Lord of Spirits has caused His light to appear On the face of the holy, righteous, and elect.
38:4From that period those who possess the earth shall cease to be powerful and exalted. Neither shall they be capable of beholding the countenances of the holy; for the light of the countenances of the holy, the righteous, and the elect, has been seen by the Lord of spirits.
38:4 And from that time those who hold the earth will not be powerful and exalted, nor will they be able to behold the face of the just, for the light of the Lord of the spirits is seen on the face of the holy and just and chosen.
38:5 Then shall the kings and the mighty perish And be given into the hands of the righteous and holy.
38:5Yet shall not the mighty kings of that period be destroyed; but be delivered into the hands of the righteous and the holy.
38:5 And the mighty kings will perish at that time, and will be given over into the hands of the just and holy.
38:6 And thenceforward none shall seek for themselves mercy from the Lord of Spirits For their life is at an end.
38:6Nor thenceforwards shall any obtain commiseration from the Lord of spirits, because their lives in this world will have been completed.
38:6 And from that time on no one can ask for mercy from the Lord of the spirits, for their lives have ended.

And I saw the chambers of the sun and moon, whence they proceed and whither they come again, and their glorious return, and how one is superior to the other, and their stately orbit, and how they do not leave their orbit, and they add nothing to their orbit and they take nothing from it, and they keep faith with each other, in accordance with the oath by which they

I marked their rich progress, their unchangeable progress, their disunited and undiminished progress; their observance of a mutual fidelity by a stable oath;

beginning of the world.41:5 And I saw the repositories of the sun and of the moon, from whence they come and to which they return, and their glorious return, and how one is more glorious than the other, and their fixed course, and how they do not leave their course, and how they add nothing to their course and take nothing from it, and preserve their fidelity one with the other, remaining steadfast in their oath.

And after that I saw the hidden and the visible path of the moon, and she accomplishes the course of her path in that place by day and by night-the one holding a position opposite to the other before the Lord of Spirits. And they give thanks and praise and rest not; For unto them is their thanksgiving rest.

of the Lord of spirits. Potent is his name for ever and for ever. 41:5After this I perceived, that the path both concealed and manifest of the moon, as well as the progress of its path, was there completed by day and by night; while each, one with another, looked towards the Lord of spirits, magnifying and praising without cessation, since praise to them is rest;

of the Lord of the spirits, and strong is his name to all eternity;41:7 and after this the hidden and the revealed course of the moon, completing the course of her way in that place by day and by night, one looking at the other [i.e. opposite each other] before the Lord of the spirits; and they give thanks and praise and do not rest, for their thanksgiving is rest for them.

41:8 For the sun changes oft for a blessing or a curse, And the course of the path of the moon is light to the righteous And darkness to the sinners in the name of the Lord, Who made a separation between the light and the darkness, And divided the spirits of men, And strengthened the spirits of the righteous, In the name of His righteousness.
for in the splendid sun there is a frequent conversion to blessing and to malediction. 41:6The course of the moonÆs path to the righteous is light, but to sinners it is darkness; in the name of the Lord of spirits, who created a division between light and darkness, and, separating the spirits of men, strengthened the spirits of the righteous in the name of his own righteousness.
41:8 For the shining sun makes many changes for a blessing and for a curse, and the course of the path of the moon is light to the just, and darkness to the sinners in the name of the Lord who created a separation between light and darkness, and divided the spirits of men, and strengthened the spirits of the just, in the name of his own justice.

41:9 For no angel hinders and no power is able to hinder; for He appoints a judge for them all and He judges them all before Him.

42:1 Wisdom found no place where she might dwell; Then a dwelling-place was assigned her in the heavens.
42:1Wisdom found not a place on earth where she could inhabit; her dwelling therefore is in heaven.
42:1 Wisdom did not find a place where she might live, and a dwelling-place was given to her in the heavens.

42:2 Wisdom went forth to make her dwelling among the children of men, And found no dwelling-place: Wisdom returned to her place, And took her seat among the angels.
42:2Wisdom went forth to dwell among the sons of men, but she obtained not a habitation. Wisdom returned to her place, and seated herself in the midst of the angels.
42:2 Wisdom came to dwell among the children of men, and found no dwelling-place; wisdom returned to her place and took her seat among the angels.
42:3 And unrighteousness went forth from her chambers: Whom she sought not she found, And dwelt with them, As rain in a desert And dew on a thirsty land.
But iniquity went forth after her return, who unwillingly found a habitation, and resided among them, as rain in the desert, and as a dew in a thirsty land.
42:3 And injustice came forth from its repository; whom it did not seek, them it found, and dwelt with them, like the rain in the desert, and like dew in the thirsty land.

45:1 And this is the second Parable concerning those who deny the name of the dwelling-place of the holy and of the Lord of the spirits.
45:2 And into the heaven they shall not ascend, And on the earth they shall not come: Such shall be the lot of the sinners Who have denied the name of the Lord of Spirits, Who are thus preserved for the day of suffering and tribulation.
45:2Heaven they shall not ascend, nor shall they come on the earth. This shall be the portion of sinners, who deny the name of the Lord of spirits, and who are thus reserved for the day of punishment and of affliction.

45:3 On that day the chosen One will sit upon the throne of glory, and will choose among their [i.e. men’s] deeds and places without number, and their spirit will become strong in them when they see my Chosen One and those who have called upon my holy and glorious name.

45:4 Then will I cause Mine Elect One to dwell among them. And I will transform the heaven and make it an eternal blessing and light

56:2Blessed are you, O saints and elect, for glorious is your lot.

58:2 Blessed are ye, the just and chosen, for your portion is glorious!

56:3The saints shall exist in the light of the sun, and the elect in the light of everlasting life, the days of whose life shall never terminate; nor shall the days of the saints be numbered,
58:3 And the just will be in the light of the sun, and the chosen in the light of everlasting life; and there will be no end to the days of their life, and the days of the holy will be without number.

58:4 And they will seek the light and will find justice with the Lord of the spirits; there will be peace to the just with the Lord of the world.
58:5 And after this it shall be said to the holy in heaven That they should seek out the secrets of righteousness, the heritage of faith: For it has become bright as the sun upon earth, And the darkness is past.
56:5Henceforward shall the saints be told to seek in heaven the secrets of righteousness, the portion of faith; for like the sun has it arisen upon the earth, while darkness has passed away.
58:5 And after that it will be said to the holy, that they should seek in heaven the secrets of justice, the portion of faith [fidelity], for it has risen like the sun on the earth, and darkness has disappeared.
58:6 And there shall be a light that never endeth, And to a limit (lit. ' number ') of days they shall not come, For the darkness shall first have been destroyed, [And the light established before the Lord of Spirits] And the light of uprightness established for ever before the Lord of Spirits.
There shall be light interminable; nor shall they enter upon the enumeration of time; for darkness shall be previously destroyed, and light shall increase before the Lord of spirits; before the Lord of spirits shall the light of uprightness increase for ever.
58:6 And there will be an unceasing light, and in the number of days they will not enter, because darkness will be destroyed first, and the light will be mighty before the Lord of the spirits, and the light of rectitude will be strong in eternity before the Lord of the spirits.

61:1 And I saw in those days that long cords were given to those angels, and they took to themselves wings, and flew, and went towards the north.

61:2 And I asked the angel, saying unto him: ' Why have those (angels) taken these cords and gone off ? ' And he said unto me: ' They have gone to measure.'
60:2And I inquired of the angel, saying, Wherefore have they taken those long ropes, and gone forth? He said, They are gone forth to measure.
61:2 And I asked the angel, saying: "Why have these taken the long cords, and have gone away?" And he said to me: "They went out to measure."

61:13 For great is the mercy of the Lord of the spirits, and he is slow to anger, and all his doing, and all his power, as much as he has made, he has revealed to the just and to the chosen, in the name of the Lord of the spirits.

62:4 And pain will come over them, like a woman who is in travail, and to whom the birth is hard, when the son enters the mouth of the mother, and she has pain in giving birth.62:5 And one portion of them will look upon the other, and will tremble and cast down their countenances, and pain will seize them, when they see this Son of the woman sitting on the throne of his glory.
62:6 And the kings and the mighty and all who possess the earth shall bless and glorify and extol him who rules over all, who was hidden.
61:10Then shall the kings, the princes, and all who possess the earth, glorify him who has dominion over all things, him who was concealed;
62:6 And the powerful kings, and all who hold the earth, will honor, and bless, and exalt him who rules over all, who was hidden.
62:7 For from the beginning the Son of Man was hidden, And the Most High preserved him in the presence of His might, And revealed him to the elect.
for from the beginning the Son of man existed in secret, whom the Most High preserved in the presence of his power, and revealed to the elect.
62:7 For formerly the Son of Man was hidden, and the Most High preserved him before his power, and has revealed him to the chosen.
62:8 And the congregation of the elect and holy shall be sown, And all the elect shall stand before him on that day.
61:11He shall sow the congregation of the saints, and of the elect; and all the elect shall stand before him in that day.
62:8 And the congregation of the holy and the chosen will be sown, and all the chosen will stand before him on that day.
62:9 And all the kings and the mighty and the exalted and those who rule the earth Shall fall down before him on their faces, And worship and set their hope upon that Son of Man, And petition him and supplicate for mercy at his hands.
61:12All the kings, the princes, the exalted, and those who rule over all the earth, shall fall down on their faces before him, and shall worship him. 61:13They shall fix their hopes on this Son of man, shall pray to him, and petition him for mercy.
62:9 And all the powerful kings and the exalted and they who rule the earth will fall before him upon their faces, and will worship and will hope in this Son of Man, and will petition him and ask him for mercy.
62:10 Nevertheless that Lord of Spirits will so press them That they shall hastily go forth from His presence, And their faces shall be filled with shame, And the darkness grow deeper on their faces.
61:14Then shall the Lord of spirits hasten to expel them from his presence. Their faces shall be full of confusion, and their faces shall darkness cover.
62:10 And that Lord of the spirits will only press them, that they hasten to leave his presence and their countenances will be filled with shame, and darkness will be heaped upon their countenances.
62:11 And He will deliver them to the angels for punishment, To execute vengeance on them because they have oppressed His children and His elect
The angels shall take them to punishment, that vengeance may be inflicted on those who have oppressed his children and his elect.
62:11 And the angels of punishment will receive them to take vengeance on them, because they have abused his children and his chosen.
62:12 And they shall be a spectacle for the righteous and for His elect: They shall rejoice over them, Because the wrath of the Lord of Spirits resteth upon them, And His sword is drunk with their blood.
And they shall become an example to the saints and to his elect. Through them shall these be made joyful; for the anger of the Lord of spirits shall rest upon them. 61:15Then the sword of the Lord of spirits shall be drunk with their blood;
62:12 And they will be a spectacle for the just and for his chosen; they will rejoice over them, because the wrath of the Lord of the spirits rests upon them, and the sword of the Lord of the spirits is drunk with them.
62:13 And the righteous and elect shall be saved on that day, And they shall never thenceforward see the face of the sinners and unrighteous.
but the saints and elect shall be safe in that day; nor the face of the sinners and the ungodly shall they thenceforwards behold.
62:13 And the just and chosen will be saved on that day, and will henceforth not see the face of the sinners and of the unjust.
62:14 And the Lord of Spirits will abide over them, And with that Son of Man shall they eat And lie down and rise up for ever and ever.
61:16The Lord of spirits shall remain over them: 61:17And with this Son of man shall they dwell, eat, lie down, and rise up, for ever and ever.
62:14 And the Lord of the spirits will dwell over them, and they will dwell with this Son of Man, and will eat and lie down and rise again with him to all eternity.
62:15 And the righteous and elect shall have risen from the earth, And ceased to be of downcast countenance. And they shall have been clothed with garments of glory,
61:18The saints and the elect have arisen from the earth, have left off to depress their countenances, and have been clothed with the garment of life.
62:15 And the just and the chosen will have risen from the earth, and will have ceased to cast down their faces, and will be clothed with the garments of life.
62:16 And these shall be the garments of life from the Lord of Spirits: And your garments shall not grow old, Nor your glory pass away before the Lord of Spirits.
That garment of life is with the Lord of spirits, in whose presence your garment shall not wax old, nor shall your glory diminish.
62:16 And these will be the garments of life before the Lord of the spirits; and your garments will not become old, and your glory will not decrease before the Lord of the spirits.

63:1 In those days shall the mighty and the kings who possess the earth implore (Him) to grant them a little respite from His angels of punishment to whom they were delivered, that they might fall
62:1In those days the kings who possess the earth shall be punished by the angels of his wrath, wheresoever they shall be delivered up, that he may give rest for a short period; and that they may fall
63:1 And in those days the powerful kings, who hold the earth, will petition the angels of punishment, to whom they are delivered, that they should give them a little rest, so that they could fall

63:2 down and worship before the Lord of Spirits, and confess their sins before Him. And they shall bless and glorify the Lord of Spirits, and say: ' Blessed is the Lord of Spirits and the Lord of kings, And the Lord of the mighty and the Lord of the rich, And the Lord of glory and the Lord of wisdom,

down and worship before the Lord of spirits, confessing their sins before him. 62:2They shall bless and glorify the Lord of spirits, saying, Blessed is the Lord of spirits, the Lord of kings, the Lord of princes, the Lord of the rich, the Lord of glory, and the Lord of wisdom.

63:3 And splendid in every secret thing is Thy power from generation to generation, And Thy glory for ever and ever: Deep are all Thy secrets and innumerable, And Thy righteousness is beyond reckoning.
62:3He shall enlighten every secret thing. 62:4Your power is from generation to generation; and your glory for ever and ever. 62:5Deep are all your secrets, and numberless; and your righteousness cannot be calculated.
and every secret is clear.63:3 And thy power is to all generations, and thy glory to all eternity: deep are thy secrets all and without number, and thy justice without reckoning.

63:4 We have now learnt that we should glorify And bless the Lord of kings and Him who is king over all kings.'
62:6Now we know, that we should glorify and bless the Lord of kings, him who is King over all things.
63:4 Now we know that we should praise and bless the Lord of kings, and him who rules over all the kings."
63:5 And they shall say: ' Would that we had rest to glorify and give thanks And confess our faith before His glory !
62:7They shall also say, Who has granted us rest to glorify, laud, bless, and confess in the presence of his glory?
63:5 And they will say: "Who will give us rest, that we might praise and thank and bless him, and be believers before his glory?
63:6 And now we long for a little rest but find it not: We follow hard upon and obtain (it) not: And light has vanished from before us, And darkness is our dwelling-place for ever and ever:
62:8And now small is the rest we desire; but we do not find it; we reject, and do not possess it. Light has passed away from before us; and darkness has covered our thrones for ever.
63:6 And now we long for a little rest, and do not find it; we are driven away, and do not receive it; the light has ceased before us, and darkness is our dwelling-place to all eternity.
63:7 For we have not believed before Him Nor glorified the name of the Lord of Spirits, [nor glorified our Lord] But our hope was in the sceptre of our kingdom, And in our glory.
62:9For we have not confessed before him; we have not glorified the name of the Lord of kings; we have not glorified the Lord in all his works; but we have trusted in the sceptre of our dominion and of our glory.
63:7 For before him we have not believed, and have not honored the name of the Lord of the kings, and we have not praised the Lord in all his doing, and our hope was in the sceptre of our kingdom and in our glory.
63:8 And in the day of our suffering and tribulation He saves us not, And we find no respite for confession That our Lord is true in all His works, and in His judgements and His justice, And His judgements have no respect of persons. And we pass away from before His face on account of our works, And all our sins are reckoned up in righteousness.'
62:10In the day of our suffering and of our trouble he will not save us, neither shall we find rest. We confess that our Lord is faithful in all his works, in all his judgments, and in his righteousness. 62:11In his judgments he pays no respect to persons; and we must depart from his presence, on account of our evil deeds. 62:12All our sins are truly without number.
63:8 And in the day of our trial and our trouble he did not save us, and we do not find rest to believe that our Lord is faithful in all his deeds and in all his judgments and his justice, and that his judgment does not respect persons.63:9 And we shall disappear before his face on account of our deeds, and all our sins are counted in justice."
63:10 Now they shall say unto themselves: ' Our souls are full of unrighteous gain, but it does not prevent us from descending from the midst thereof into the burden of Sheol.'
62:13Then shall they say to themselves, Our souls are satiated with the instruments of crime; 62:14But that prevents us not from descending to the flaming womb of hell.
63:10 Now they will say to them: "Our souls are satisfied with unjust goods, but it does not prevent our going to the flames of the pain of hell."
63:11 And after that their faces shall be filled with darkness And shame before that Son of Man, And they shall be driven from his presence, And the sword shall abide before his face in their midst.
62:15Afterwards, their countenances shall be filled with darkness and confusion before the Son of man; from whose presence they shall be expelled, and before whom the sword shall remain to expel them.
63:11 And after that their countenances will be filled with darkness and shame before that Son of Man, and they will be expelled from his presence, and a sword will dwell in their midst before his countenance.
63:12 Thus spake the Lord of Spirits: ' This is the ordinance and judgement with respect to the mighty and the kings and the exalted and those who possess the earth before the Lord of Spirits.'
62:16Thus saith the Lord of spirits, This is the decree and the judgment against the princes, the kings, the exalted, and those who possess the earth, in the presence of the Lord of spirits.
63:12 And thus said the Lord of the spirits: "This is the ordinance and judgment of the mighty and the kings and the exalted and those who hold the earth before the Lord of the spirits."
