PESHITTA ARAMAIC-ENGLISH AND HEBREW BIBLE - EPISTLE OF JAMES

James 1:1 - יַעקוּב עַבדֵּה דַּאלָהָא וַדמָרַן יֵשׁוּע משִׁיחָא לתַרתַּעסרֵא שַׁרבָן דַּזרִיעָן בּעַממֵא שׁלָם .   
James 1:1 - JAKUB, a servant of Aloha and of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha, unto the twelve tribes who are dispersed among the nations: Peace.    
James 1:1 - JAMES, a servant of God, and of our Lord Jesus the Messiah; to the twelve tribes dispersed among the Gentiles; greeting [peace].   
James 1:1 - JAMES, a servant of God and of our LORD Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered among the Gentiles, greeting.   
James 1:1 - יַעֲקֹב עֶבֶד אֱלֹהִים וַאֲדֹנֵינוּ יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׂיחַ שֹׁאֵל לִשְׁלוֹם שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר הַשְּׁבָטִים שֶּׁבַּגּוֹלָה׃   
James 1:2 - כֻּל חַדוָא תֵּהוֵא לכוּן אַחַי כַּד תֵּעלוּן לנֵסיוּנֵא משַׁחלפֵא וסַגִּיֵאא .   
James 1:2 - All joy shall be to you, my brethren, when you shall have entered into temptations many and various.    
James 1:2 - Let it be all joy to you, my brethren, when ye enter into many and various trials.   
James 1:2 - MY brethren, take it as a joy to you when you enter into many and divers temptations;   
James 1:2 - אַךְ לְשִׂמְחָה חִשְׁבוּ לָכֶם אֶחָי כַּאֲשֶׁר תָּבֹאוּ בְּנִסְיֹנוֹת שׁוֹנִים׃   
James 1:3 - יָדעִין אנתּוּן גֵּיר דּבוּקיָא דּהַימָנוּתָא מַקנֵא לכוּן מסַיבּרָנוּתָא .   
James 1:3 - For you know that the proving of faith maketh you to possess patience;    
James 1:3 - For ye know, that the trial of [your] faith, maketh you possess patience.   
James 1:3 - For you know that the trial of faith will increase your patience.   
James 1:3 - מִפְּנֵי שֶׁיֹּדְעִים אַתֶּם כִּי־בֹחַן אֱמוּנַתְכֶם מֵבִיא לִידֵי סַבְלָנוּת׃   
James 1:4 - לָה דֵּין לַמסַיבּרָנוּתָא נֵהוֵא לָה עבָדָא משַׁמליָא דּתֵהווּן גּמִירִין וַמשַׁלמָנִין וַבמֵדֵּם לָא הוַיתּוּן חַסִירִין .   
James 1:4 - but to patience let there be a perfect work, that you may be complete and perfected, and in nothing be deficient.    
James 1:4 - And let patience have its perfect work, so that ye may be complete and perfect, and may lack nothing.   
James 1:4 - And let patience be a perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, lacking nothing.   
James 1:4 - וְהַסַּבְלָנוּת שְׁלֵמָה תִּהְיֶה בְּפָעֳלָהּ לְמַעַן תִּהְיוּ שְׁלֵמִים וּתְמִימִים וְלֹא תַחְסְרוּ כָּל־דָּבָר׃   
James 1:5 - אֵן אנָשׁ דֵּין מֵנכוּן חסִיר מֵן חֵכמתָא נֵשַׁאל מֵן אַלָהָא דּיָהֵב לכֻל פּשִׁיטָאיִת ולָא מחַסֵד ומֵתיַהבָּא לֵה .   
James 1:5 - If any of you be deficient in wisdom, let him ask of Aloha, who giveth to all expansively, and upbraideth not, and it is given to him.    
James 1:5 - And if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask [it] of God, who giveth to all freely, and reproacheth not; and it will be given him.   
James 1:5 - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally and with grace; and it shall be given him.    
James 1:5 - וְאִישׁ מִכֶּם כִּי יֶחְסַר חָכְמָה יְבַקְשֶׁנָּה מֵאֱלֹהִים הַנּוֹתֵן לַכֹּל בִּנְדִיבָה וּבְלֹא הוֹנָאַת דְּבָרִים וְתִנָּתֵן לוֹ׃    
James 1:6 - נֵשַׁאל דֵּין בּהַימָנוּתָא כַּד לָא מֵתפַּלַג הַו גֵּיר דּמֵתפַּלַג דָּמֵא לגַללֵא דּיַמָא דּשָׁגשָׁא להוּן רוּחָא .   
James 1:6 - But let him ask in faith, not wavering.[Or, not being divided.] For he who wavereth is like the waves of the sea which the wind disturbeth.    
James 1:6 - But let him ask in faith, not hesitating: he who hesitateth is like the waves of the sea, which the wind agitateth.    
James 1:6 - But let him ask in faith, not doubting. For he who doubts is like the waves of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.    
James 1:6 - וּבִלְבַד שֶׁיְּבַקֵּשׁ בֶּאֱמוּנָה וּבִבְלִי סָפֵק כִּי־בַעַל סָפֵק דּוֹמֶה לְגַל הַיָּם נִשָּׂא וּמְטֹרָף בָּרוּחַ׃   
James 1:7 - ולָא נַסבַּר הַו בַּרנָשָׁא דּנָסֵב מֵדֵּם מֵן מָריָא .    
James 1:7 - And let not that man expect to receive any thing from the Lord,    
James 1:7 - And let not that man expect to receive any thing of the Lord,   
James 1:7 - Thus let not that man expect that he will receive anything of the LORD.   
James 1:7 - וְהָאִישׁ הַהוּא אַל־יְדַמֶּה בְנַפְשׁוֹ כִּי־יִּשָּׂא דָבָר מֵאֵת יְהוָֹה׃   
James 1:8 - אַינָא דַּפלִיג בּרֵעיָנֵה וַשׁגִישׁ בּכֻלהֵין אוּרחָתֵה .    
James 1:8 - who is divided in his mind, and disturbed in all his ways.    
James 1:8 - who is hesitating in his mind, and unstable in all his ways.   
James 1:8 - A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways   
James 1:8 - אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר חָלַק לִבּוֹ הֲפַכְפָּךְ הוּא בְּכָל־דְּרָכָיו׃    
James 1:9 - נֵשׁתַּבהַר דֵּין אַחָא מַכִּיכָא בּרוּמרָמֵה .   
James 1:9 - But let the humble brother glory in his exaltation,    
James 1:9 - And let the depressed brother rejoice, in his elevation;   
James 1:9 - Let the brother of low estate rejoice because he is exalted.   
James 1:9 - אֲבָל הָאָח הַשָּׁפֵל יִתְהַלֵּל בְּרוֹמֲמֻתוֹ׃    
James 1:10 - ועַתִּירָא בּמוּכָּכֵה מֵטֻל דַּאיכ הַבָּבָא דּעֵסבָּא הָכַנָא עָבַר .    
James 1:10 - and the rich in his humility; for as the flower of an herb, so he passeth.    
James 1:10 - and the rich, in his depression; because, like the flower of an herb, so he passeth away.   
James 1:10 - Let the rich man rejoice in his humbleness: because as the flower of the grass, so shall he pass away.    
James 1:10 - וְהֶעָשִׁיר יִתְהַלֵּל בְּשִׁפְלוּתוֹ כִּי יַעֲבֹר כְּצִיץ הֶחָצִיר׃    
James 1:11 - דָּנַח גֵּיר שֵׁמשָׁא בּחוּמֵה ומַובֵּשׁ לֵה לעֵסבָּא והַבָּבֵה נָפֵל ושׁוּפרָא דּחֵזוֵה אָבֵד הָכַנָא אָפ עַתִּירָא חָמֵא בּהוּפָּכַוהי .    
James 1:11 - For the sun ariseth in his heat, and drieth the herb, and the flower of it falleth, and the beauty of its appearance perisheth; so also the rich withereth in his reverses.    
James 1:11 - For the sun riseth in its heat, and drieth up the herb; and its flower falleth, and the beauty of its appearance perisheth: so also the rich man withereth in his ways.   
James 1:11 - For as the sun rises with its burning heat and causes the grass to wither, and the flower to fall and its beauty to perish: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.   
James 1:11 - כִּי זָרַח הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ בְּחַמָּתוֹ וַיְיַבֵּשׁ אֶת־הֶחָצִיר וַיִּבֹּל צִיצוֹ וְחֵן מַרְאֵהוּ אָבָד כֵּן יִבּוֹל הֶעָשִׁיר בַּהֲלִיכוֹתָיו׃    
James 1:12 - טוּבַוהי לגַברָא דַּמסַיבַּר נֵסיוּנֵא דּמָא דֵּאתבּחַר נָסֵב כּלִילָא דּחַיֵא הַו דַּמלַכ אַלָהָא לַאילֵין דּרָחמִין לֵה .   
James 1:12 - Blessed the man who endureth temptations: for when he hath been proved he shall receive the crown of life, which Aloha hath promised unto them who love him.    
James 1:12 - Blessed is the man who endureth temptations; so that when he is proved he may receive a crown of life, which God hath promised to them that love him.   
James 1:12 - Blessed is the man who endures temptations: for when he is tested, he shall receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.   
James 1:12 - אַשְׁרֵי הָאִישׁ הָעֹמֵד בְּנִסְיוֹנוֹ כִּי כַּאֲשֶׁר נִבְחַן יִשָּׂא עֲטֶרֶת הַחַיִּים אֲשֶׁר־הִבְטִיחַ יְהוָֹה לְאֹהֲבָיו׃   
James 1:13 - לָא נאִמַר אנָשׁ כַּד מֵתנַסֵא דּמֵן אַלָהָא מֵתנַסֵא אנָא אַלָהָא גֵּיר לָא מנַסַי בּבִישָׁתָא והוּ לאנָשׁ לָא מנַסֵא .   
James 1:13 - Let no man say, when he is tempted, From Aloha I am tempted; for Aloha is not tempted with evils, and he no man tempteth.    
James 1:13 - Let no one when he is tempted, say, I am tempted of God: for God is not tempted with evils, nor doth he tempt any man.    
James 1:13 - Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does he tempt any man:   
James 1:13 - אַל־יֹאמַר הַמְנֻסֶּה הָאֱלֹהִים נִסָּנִי כִּי הָאֱלֹהִים אֵינֶנּוּ מְנֻסֶּה בָּרָע וְהוּא לֹא־יְנַסֶּה אִישׁ׃   
James 1:14 - אֵלָא אנָשׁ אנָשׁ מֵן רֵגּתֵה הוּ מֵתנַסֵא ומֵתרַגרַג ומֵתנגֵד .    
James 1:14 - But each man from his concupiscence tempteth himself, and desireth, and is drawn away.    
James 1:14 - But every man is tempted by his own lust; and he lusteth, and is drawn away.   
James 1:14 - But every man is tempted by his own lust; and he covets and is enticed.   
James 1:14 - כִּי אִם־יְנֻסֶּה כָל־אִישׁ בְּתַאֲוַת נַפְשׁוֹ אֲשֶׁר תְּסִיתֵהוּ וּתְפַתֵּהוּ׃   
James 1:15 - והָדֵא רֵגּתָא בָּטנָא ויָלדָּא חטִיתָא חטִיתָא דֵּין מָא דֵּאתגַּמרַת יָלדָּא מַותָּא .   
James 1:15 - And this desire conceiveth and beareth sin; and sin, when it is perfected, beareth death.    
James 1:15 - And this [his] lust conceiveth, and bringeth forth sin; and sin, when mature, bringeth forth death.   
James 1:15 - Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin when it has matured, brings forth death.   
James 1:15 - וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן הָרְתָה הַתַּאֲוָה וַתֵּלֶד חֵטְא וְהַחֵטְא כִּי נִגְמַר יוֹלִיד אֶת־הַמָּוֶת׃   
James 1:16 - לָא תֵּטעוּן אַחַי חַבִּיבֵא .   
James 1:16 - Do not err, my beloved brethren;    
James 1:16 - Do not err, my beloved brethren.

James 1:16 - אַל־תִּתְעוּ אַחַי אֲהוּבָי׃   
James 1:17 - כֻּל מַוהַבתָּא טָבתָא וַמשַׁמלַיתָּא מֵן לעֵל נָחתָּא מֵן אַבָא דּנַהִירֵא הַו דּלַיתּ לוָתֵה שׁוּחלָפָא מֵדֵּם אָפלָא טֵלָנִיתָא דּשׁוּגנָיָא .    
James 1:17 - every good gift and perfect from above descendeth, from the Father of lights, with whom is no alteration, nor the shadow of vicissitude.    
James 1:17 - Every good and perfect gift cometh down from above, from the Father of lights, with whom is no mutation, not even the shadow of change.   
James 1:17 - Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness nor shadow of change.   
James 1:17 - כָּל־מַתָּת טוֹבָה וְכָל־מַתָּנָה שְׁלֵמָה תֵּרֵד מִמַּעַל מֵאֵת אֲבִי הָאוֹרוֹת אֲשֶׁר חִלּוּף וְכָל־צֵל שִׁנּוּי אֵין־עִמּוֹ׃   
James 1:18 - הוּיוּ צבָא ויַלדַּן בּמֵלתָא דּקוּשׁתָּא דּנֵהוֵא רִשִׁיתָא דּבֵריָתֵה .   
James 1:18 - He willed, and begat us by the word of truth, that we might be the first-ones of his creatures.    
James 1:18 - He saw fit, and begat us by the word of truth; that we might be the first-fruits of his creatures.   
James 1:18 - It is he, who begot us of his own will with the word of truth, that we should be the firstfruits of his creatures.    
James 1:18 - הוּא בְחֶפְצוֹ יָלַד אוֹתָנוּ בִּדְבַר הָאֱמֶת לִהְיוֹת כְּמוֹ רֵאשִׁית בִּכּוּרֵי יְצוּרָיו׃   
James 1:19 - וַאנתּוּן אַחַי חַבִּיבֵא כֻּלנָשׁ מֵנכוּן נֵהוֵא מסַרהַב למֵשׁמַע ומַוחַר לַממַלָלוּ ומַוחַר למֵרגַּז .   
James 1:19 - And you, my beloved brethren, let every one of you be swift to hear, and slow to speak, and slow to be angry;    
James 1:19 - And be ye, my beloved brethren, every one of you, swift to hear, and slow to speak; and slow to wrath:   
James 1:19 - Therefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, and slow to speak, and slow to anger:   
James 1:19 - עַל־כֵּן אַחַי אֲהוּבַי יְהִי כָל־אִישׁ מָהִיר לִשְׁמֹעַ קָשֶׁה לְדַבֵּר וְקָשֶׁה לִכְעוֹס׃   
James 1:20 - רוּגזֵה גֵּיר דּגַברָא זַדִּיקוּתָא דַּאלָהָא לָא עָבֵד .    
James 1:20 - for the wrath of man the righteousness of Aloha worketh not.    
James 1:20 - for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.   
James 1:20 - For the wrath of man does not bring about the righteousness of God.   
James 1:20 - כִּי־כַעַס אָדָם לֹא יִפְעַל צִדְקַת אֱלֹהִים׃   
James 1:21 - מֵטֻל הָנָא אַרחֵקו מֵנכוּן כֻּלָה טַנפוּתָא וסוּגָאא דּבִישׁוּתָא וַבמַכִּיכוּתָא קַבֵּלו מֵלתָא דַּנצִיבָא בַּכיָנַן דּהִי מֵשׁכּחָא דּתַחֵא אֵנֵין נַפשָׁתכוּן .   
James 1:21 - Wherefore, remove from you all impurity and the abounding of wickedness, and with meekness receive the word which is engrafted in our nature, which is able to save your souls.    
James 1:21 - Wherefore, remove far from you all impurity, and the abundance of wickedness; and, with meekness, receive the word that is implanted in our nature, which is able to vivify these your souls.    
James 1:21 - Wherefore cast away all filthiness, and all the multitude of evil things, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.   
James 1:21 - לָכֵן הָסִירוּ מֵעֲלֵיכֶם כָּל־טִנּוּף וְתַרְבּוּת רָעָה וְקַבְּלוּ בַעֲנָוָה אֶת־הַדָּבָר הַנָּטוּעַ בָּכֶם אֲשֶׁר יָכֹל לְהוֹשִׁיעַ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם׃   
James 1:22 - הוַו דֵּין עָבוּדֵא דּמֵלתָא ולָא שָׁמוּעֵא בַּלחוּד ולָא תַּטעוּן נַפשָׁתכוּן .   
James 1:22 - BUT be doers of the word, and not hearers only, neither deceive yourselves.    
James 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only; and do not deceive yourselves.   
James 1:22 - But you be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.   
James 1:22 - וִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂי הַדָּבָר וְלֹא שֹׁמְעָיו בִּלְבָד לְרַמּוֹת אֶת־נַפְשְׁכֶם׃   
James 1:23 - אֵן אנָשׁ גֵּיר נֵהוֵא שָׁמוּעָה דּמֵלתָא ולָא עָבוּדָה הָנָא דָּמֵא להַו דַּחזָא אַפַּוהי בּמַחזִיתָא .   
James 1:23 - For if a man be a hearer of the word and not a doer of it, this (man) is like one who vieweth his face in a mirror;    
James 1:23 - For if any man shall be a hearer of the word, and not a doer of it, he will be like one who seeth his face in a mirror:    
James 1:23 - For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man who sees his face in a mirror;   
James 1:23 - כִּי הָאִישׁ הַשֹּׁמֵעַ אֶת־הַדָּבָר וְאֵין עֹשֵׂהוּ דֹּמֶה לְאִישׁ מַבִּיט אֶת־תֹּאַר הֲוָיָתוֹ בְּמַרְאָה׃   
James 1:24 - חזָא גֵּיר נַפשֵׁה וַעבַר וַטעָא דַּאיכַּנָא הוָא .   
James 1:24 - for he seeth himself and passeth, and hath forgotten what (manner of person) he was.    
James 1:24 - for he seeth himself, and passeth on, and forgetteth what a man he was.   
James 1:24 - For he sees himself and goes his way, and forgets how he looked.   
James 1:24 - כִּי הִבִּיט אֶל־מַרְאֵהוּ וַיֵּלֶךְ לוֹ וּבְרֶגַע שָׁכַח מַה־תָּאֳרוֹ׃   
James 1:25 - כֻּל דֵּין דּחָר בּנָמוּסָא משַׁלמָנָא דּחאִרוּתָא וקַוִי בֵּה לָא הוָא שָׁמוּעָא דּשֵׁמעָא דּמֵתּטעֵא אֵלָא עָבוּדָא דַּעבָדֵא והָנָא טוּבָנָא נֵהוֵא בַּעבָדֵה .   
James 1:25 - But every one who looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he is not a hearer of the hearing of forgetfulness, but a doer of works; and this shall be blessed in his work.    
James 1:25 - But every one that looketh upon the perfect law of liberty and abideth in it, is not a hearer of something to be forgotten, but a doer of the things; and he will be blessed in his work.    
James 1:25 - But whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and abides in it, is not merely a hearer of the word which can be forgotten but a doer of the work, and this man shall be blessed in his work.    
James 1:25 - אֲבָל הַמַּשְׁקִיף בַּתּוֹרָה הַשְּׁלֵמָה תּוֹרַת הַחֵרוּת וּמַחֲזִיק בָּהּ אֲשֶׁר אֵינֶנּוּ שֹׁמֵעַ וְשָׁכֵחַ כִּי אִם־עֹשֶׂה בְּפֹעַל אַשְׁרֵי הָאִישׁ הַהוּא בְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ׃   
James 1:26 - וֵאן אנָשׁ סָבַר דַּמשַׁמֵשׁ לַאלָהָא ולָא אָחֵד לֵשָׁנֵה אֵלָא מַטעֵא לֵה לֵבֵּה דּהָנָא סרִיקָא הי תֵּשׁמֵשׁתֵּה .   
James 1:26 - And if a man thinketh that he serveth [Or, ministereth unto Aloha.] Aloha, and holdeth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, of this man his service is vain.    
James 1:26 - And if any one thinketh that he worshippeth God, and doth not restrain his tongue, but his heart deceiveth him; his worship is vain.   
James 1:26 - If any man thinks that he ministers to God, and does not control his tongue, he deceives his own heart, and this man's ministry is in vain   
James 1:26 - אִישׁ מִכֶּם אִם־יְדַמֶּה לִהְיוֹת עֹבֵד אֱלֹהִים וְאֵינֶנּוּ שָׂם רֶסֶן לִלְשֹׁנוֹ כִּי אִם־מַתְעֶה הוּא אֶת־לְבָבוֹ עֲבֹדָתוֹ אַךְ־לָרִיק תִּהְיֶה׃   
James 1:27 - תֵּשׁמֵשׁתָּא גֵּיר דּכִיתָא וקַדִּישׁתָּא קדָם אַלָהָא אַבָא הָדֵא הי למֵסעַר יַתמֵא וַארמלָתָא בֻּאולצָנַיהוּן וַלמֵטַר אנָשׁ נַפשֵׁה מֵן עָלמָא דּלָא טוּלשָׁא .   
James 1:27 - For the service [Teshmeshtho, ministry.] which is pure and true before Aloha the Father, is this, to visit the orphans and widows in their afflictions, and that a man keep himself from the world without blemish.    
James 1:27 - For the worship that is pure and holy before God the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and that one keep himself unspotted from the world.   
James 1:27 - For a pure and holy ministry before God, the Father, is this, To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.   
James 1:27 - זֹאת הִיא הָעֲבוֹדָה הַטְּהוֹרָה וְהַבָּרָה לִפְנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים אָבִינוּ לִפְקֹד אֶת־הַיְתוֹמִים וְהָאַלְמָנוֹת בְּצָרָתָם וְלִשְׁמֹר נַפְשׁוֹ בְּנִקָּיוֹן מֵחֶלְאַת הָעוֹלָם׃    
James 2:1 - אַחַי לָא בּמַסַב בַּאפֵּא תֵּהווּן אַחִידִין להַימָנוּתָא דּתֵשׁבּוּחתֵּה דּמָרַן יֵשׁוּע משִׁיחָא .   
James 2:1 - My brethren, do not hold with acceptance of faces the faith of the glory of our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.    
James 2:1 - My brethren, hold ye not the faith of the glory of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, with a respect to persons.   
James 2:1 - MY brethren, do not, with hypocrisy, uphold the glorious faith of our LORD Jesus Christ.   
James 2:1 - אַחַי אַל־יְהִי מַשּׂא פָנִים בֶּאֱמוּנַתְכֶם בְּיֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ אֲדֹנֵינוּ אֲדוֹן הַכָּבוֹד׃   
James 2:2 - אֵן גֵּיר נֵעוּל לַכנוּשׁתּכוּן אנָשׁ דּעֵזקָתֵה דּדַהבָא אַו דּמָאנַוהי שַׁפִּירֵא ונֵעוּל מֵסכִּנָא בּמָאנֵא צָאֵא .   
James 2:2 - For if there come into your congregation a man who hath rings of gold or beautiful vestments, and there come in a poor man in sordid vestments,    
James 2:2 - For if there come into your assembly a man with rings of gold or splendid garments, and there come in a poor man in sordid garments;   
James 2:2 - For if there should enter into your synagogue a man with gold rings and costly garments, and there should also enter a poor man in soiled clothing;   
James 2:2 - כִּי אִם־יָבוֹא אִישׁ לְבֵית הַכְּנֵסֶת שֶׁלָּכֶם וְטַבְּעֹת זָהָב עַל־יָדָיו וְהוּא לָבוּשׁ לְבֻשֵׁי מִכְלוֹל וּבָא שָׁמָּה גַּם־אִישׁ עָנִי בִּבְגָדִים צוֹאִים׃   
James 2:3 - וַתחוּרוּן בּהַו דַּלבִישׁ מָאנֵא שַׁפִּירֵא ותאִמרוּן לֵה אַנתּ הָרכָּא תֵּב שַׁפִּיר וַלמֵסכִּנָא תּאִמרוּן לֵה אַנתּ קוּם להַל אַו תֵּב לָכ הָרכָּא קדָם כּוּבשָׁא דּרֵגלַין .   
James 2:3 - and you look upon him who clothed in beautiful vestments, and say to him, Sit is here well; and you say to the poor man, Stand thou there, or, Sit thou here before the stool of our feet;    
James 2:3 - and ye show respect to him who is clothed in splendid garments, and say to him, Seat thyself here, conspicuously; while to the poor man, ye say, Stand thou there, or sit thou here before my footstool;    
James 2:3 - And you should attend to the one who wears the beautiful clothing, and say to him, Sit here in a good place; and say to the poor man, Stand up there, or sit here before our footstool;   
James 2:3 - וּפְנִיתֶם אֶל־הַלָּבוּשׁ לְבֻשֵׁי מִכְלוֹל וַאֲמַרְתֶּם לוֹ שֶׁב־לְךָ הֵנָּה בְּכָבוֹד וְלֶעָנִי תֹאמְרוּ עֲמָד־שָׁם אוֹ שֶׁב־פֹּה מִתַּחַת לַהֲדֹם רַגְלָי׃   
James 2:4 - לָא הָא אֵתפַּלַגתּוּן לכוּן בּנַפשׁכוּן וַהוַיתּוּן מפַרשָׁנֵא דּמַחשׁבָתָא בִּישָׁתָא .   
James 2:4 - behold, are you not divided in yourselves, and become separaters for evil reasons ?    
James 2:4 - are ye not divided among yourselves, and become expositors of evil thoughts ?   
James 2:4 - Are you not then showing partiality, and thereby give preference to evil thoughts?   
James 2:4 - הֲלֹא לֵב וָלֵב לָכֶם וְהִנְּכֶם שֹׁפְטִים בַּעֲלֵי מַחֲשָׁבוֹת רָעוֹת׃   
James 2:5 - שׁמַעו אַחַי חַבִּיבֵא לָא הוָא למֵסכִּנֵא דּעָלמָא עַתִּירֵא דֵּין בּהַימָנוּתָא גּבָא אַלָהָא דּנֵהווּן יָרתֵּא בּמַלכּוּתָא הָי דַּמלַכ אַלָהָא לַאילֵין דּרָחמִין לֵה .   
James 2:5 - Listen, my beloved brethren: Hath not Aloha chosen the poor of the world, but rich in faith, to be heirs in that kingdom which Aloha hath promised to them who love him ?    
James 2:5 - Hear, my beloved brethren; hath not God chosen the poor of the world, but the rich in faith, to be heirs in the kingdom which God hath promised to them that love him?

James 2:6 - אַנתּוּן דֵּין שָׁטתּוּנָיהי למֵסכִּנָא לָא הָא עַתִּירֵא מֵשׁתַּעלֵין עלַיכּוּן והֵנוּן נָגדִּין לכוּן לבֵית דִּינָא .   
James 2:6 - But you have despised the poor. Behold, are not the rich uprisen against you ? and do they not drag you to the house of judgment?    
James 2:6 - But ye have despised the poor man. Do not rich men exalt themselves over you, and drag you before the tribunals ?

James 2:7 - Do they not blaspheme against that Good Name which is pronounced upon you ?

James 2:8 - וֵאן נָמוּסָא דַּאלָהָא בּהָדֵא משַׁלמִיתּוּן אַיכ דַּכתִיב דּתֵרחַם לקַרִיבָכ אַיכ נַפשָׁכ שַׁפִּיר עָבדִּין אנתּוּן .   
James 2:8 - And if the law of Aloha in this you accomplish, as it is written, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, you do well;    
James 2:8 - And if in this ye fulfill the law of God, as it is written, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye will do well:

James 2:9 - אֵן דֵּין בַּאפֵּא נָסבִּין אנתּוּן חטִיתָא עָבדִּין אנתּוּן ומֵתכַּונִין אנתּוּן מֵן נָמוּסָא אַיכ עָברַי עַל נָמוּסָא .   
James 2:9 - but if you accept persons, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors against the law.

James 2:10 - For he who keepeth the whole law, and in one offendeth, of the whole LAW he is guilty.    
James 2:10 - For he that shall keep the whole law, and yet fail in one [precept], is obnoxious to the whole law.

James 2:11 - For he who hath said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, is he who hath said, Thou shalt not steal; but if thou do not commit adultery, yet steal, thou hast become a transgressor against the LAW.

James 2:12 - הָכַנָא הוַיתּוּן ממַללִין והָכַנָא הוַיתּוּן סָערִין אַיכ אנָשָׁא דַּבנָמוּסָא דּחאִרוּתָא עתִידִין אנתּוּן למֵתּדָנוּ .   
James 2:12 - So speak and so act, as those who by the law of liberty are to be judged.

James 2:13 - For judgment is to be without mercy, upon him who hath not done mercy. Be you exalted by mercy over judgment.    
James 2:13 - For judgment without mercy shall be on him, who hath practised no mercy: by mercy, ye will be raised above judgment.

James 2:14 - מָנָא הֵניָנָא אַחַי אֵן אנָשׁ אָמַר דּאִית לִי הַימָנוּתָא וַעבָדֵא לַיתּ לֵה דַּלמָא מֵשׁכּחָא הַימָנוּתֵה דּתַחֵיוהי .   
James 2:14 - WHAT is the use,[Henyono, utilitas.] my brethren, if a man say, I have faith, and works he hath not ? How can his faith save him ?    
James 2:14 - What is the use, my brethren, if a man say, I have faith; and he hath no works ? can his faith vivify him?    
James 2:14 - Though a man say he has faith, what profit is it, my brethren, if he does not have works? Can faith save him    
James 2:14 - אַחַי מַה־יּוֹעִיל לְאִישׁ שֶׁיֹּאמַר כִּי אֱמוּנָה בוֹ וּמַעֲשִׂים אֵין בּוֹ הֲתוּכַל הָאֱמוּנָה לְהוֹשִׁיעוֹ׃   
James 2:15 - וֵאן אַחָא אַו חָתָא נֵהווּן עַרטֵלָיִין וחַסִירִין סַיבָּרתָּא דּיַומָא .   
James 2:15 - And, if a brother or sister be naked, and wanting the food of to-day,

James 2:16 - ונאִמַר להוּן אנָשׁ מֵנכוּן זֵלו בַּשׁלָמָא שׁחַנו וַסבַעו ולָא תֵּתּלוּן להוּן סנִיקוּתֵה דּפַגרָא מָנָא הֵניָנָא .   
James 2:16 - and any one of you shall say to them, Go in peace, be warm, and be satisfied, and give them not what is necessary for the body, what (would be) the use ?    
James 2:16 - and one of you say to them, Go in peace, warm yourselves, and be full; and ye give them not the necessaries of the body, what is the use?   
James 2:16 - And one of you say to them, Depart in peace, be warmed, and be filled; yet you do not give to them those things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?   
James 2:16 - וְאִישׁ מִכֶּם יֹאמַר אֲלֵיהֶם לְכוּ לְשָׁלוֹם וְהִתְחַמֲמוּ וּשְׂבָעוּ וְלֹא־תִתְּנוּ לָהֶם צָרְכֵי גוּפָם מַה־תּוֹעִיל זֹאת׃    
James 2:17 - הָכַנָא אָפ הַימָנוּתָא דּלָא עבָדֵא מִיתָא הי בַּלחוּדֵיה .    
James 2:17 - Thus also the faith that hath not works is dead, (being) alone.

James 2:18 - For a man saith, Thou hast faith, and I have works; show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith from my works.

James 2:19 - מהַימֵן אַנתּ דּחַד הוּ אַלָהָא שַׁפִּיר עָבֵד אַנתּ אָפ שׁאִדֵא מהַימנִין ורָעלִין .   
James 2:19 - Thou believest that Aloha is one: thou doest well; the demons also believe and tremble.    
James 2:19 - Thou believest that there is one God; thou dost well; the demons also believe, and tremble.

James 2:20 - צָבֵא אַנתּ דֵּין דּתֵדַּע אָו בַּרנָשָׁא חַלָשָׁא דּהַימָנוּתָא דּלָא עבָדֵא מִיתָא הי .   
James 2:20 - Art thou willing to know, O weak man, that faith without works is dead ?

James 2:21 - אַבוּן אַברָהָם לָא הוָא מֵן עבָדֵא אֵזדַּדַּק דַּאסֵק לאִיסחָק בּרֵה עַל מַדבּחָא .   
James 2:21 - Our father Abraham, was he not by works justified, when he offered Ishok his son on the altar?    
James 2:21 - Abraham our father, was not he justified by works, in offering his son Isaac upon the altar ?   
James 2:21 - Was not our father Abraham justified by works, when he raised Isaac his son upon the altar?   
James 2:21 - אַבְרָהָם אָבִינוּ הֲלֹא בְּמַעֲשָׂיו נִצְדָּק בְּהַעֲלֹתוֹ אֶת־יִצְחָק בְּנוֹ עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃   
James 2:22 - חָזֵא אַנתּ דּהַימָנוּתֵה סַיעַת לַעבָדַוהי ומֵן עבָדֵא הַימָנוּתֵה אֵתגַּמרַת .   
James 2:22 - Thou seest that his faith was helpful [Vide CASTELL'S Hept. Lex. in -.] unto his works; and by works his faith was perfected,    
James 2:22 - Seest thou, that his faith aided his works; and that by the works his faith was rendered complete?   
James 2:22 - You can see, how his faith helped his works, and how by works his faith was made perfect.   
James 2:22 - הִנְּךָ רֹאֶה כִּי־הָאֱמוּנָה עֹזֶרֶת לְמַעֲשָׂיו וּמִתּוֹךְ הַמַּעֲשִׂים הָשְׁלְמָה הָאֱמוּנָה׃   
James 2:23 - וַשׁלֵם כּתָבָא דֵּאמַר דּהַימֵן אַברָהָם בַּאלָהָא וֵאתחַשׁבַּת לֵה לזַדִּיקוּ ורָחמָא דַּאלָהָא אֵתקרִי .   
James 2:23 - and the scripture was accomplished which said, that Abraham believed in Aloha, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness, and the friend of Aloha he was called.    
James 2:23 - And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith: Abraham believed in God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness, and he was called the Friend of God.

James 2:24 - חָזֵא אַנתּ דּמֵן עבָדֵא מֵזדַּדַּק בַּרנָשָׁא ולָא הוָא מֵן הַימָנוּתָא בַּלחוּד .   
James 2:24 - Thou seest that by works man is justified, and not by faith alone.

James 2:25 - So also Rachab the harlot, was she not by works justified when she received the spies, and by another way sent them forth?

James 2:26 - אַיכַּנָא דּפַגרָא דּלָא רוּחָא מִית הוּ הָכַנָא אָפ הַימָנוּתָא דּלָא עבָדֵא מִיתָא הי .   
James 2:26 - Thus, as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the faith which is without works is dead.

James 3:1 - LET there not be many teachers among you, my brethren, but know that a greater condemnation we incur.

James 3:2 - סַגִּיָאתָא גֵּיר מֵשׁתַּרעִינַן כֻּלַן כֻּל דַּבמֵלתָא לָא שָׁרַע הָנָא אִיתַוהי גַּברָא גּמִירָא דּמֵשׁכַּח נשַׁעבֵּד אָפ כֻּלֵה פַּגרֵה .    
James 3:2 - For (in) many we all offend. Every one who in word offendeth not, this is a perfect man, who is able to make subject also all his body.    
James 3:2 - For we all offend in many things. Whoever offendeth not in discourse, is a perfect man, who can also keep his whole body in subjection.

James 3:3 - הָא גֵּיר פּגוּדֵא בּפוּמָא דּרַכשָׁא רָמֵינַן אַיכ דּנֵשׁתַּעבּדוּן לַן וכֻלֵה גּוּשׁמהוּן מַהפּכִינַן .   
James 3:3 - For, behold, bridles into the mouth of horses we throw that we may make them submissive to us, and their whole body we turn.

James 3:4 - אָפ אֵלפֵא עַשִׁינָתָא כַּד דּבִירָן להֵין רוּחֵא קַשׁיָתָא מֵן קַיסָא זעוּרָא מֵתנַתּפָן לַאתַר דּחָאַר צֵביָנֵה דּהַו דַּמדַבַּר .   
James 3:4 - Also the mighty ships, while the furious winds drive them, by a little wood are turned about to the region which the will of him who guideth doth contemplate.    
James 3:4 - Huge ships also, when strong winds drive them, are turned about by a small timber, to what place the pleasure of the pilot looketh.   
James 3:4 - Behold also the ships, great as they are, when driven by severe winds, they are turned about with a very small rudder, wherever the pilot wishes.   
James 3:4 - וְהִנֵּה הָאֳנִיּוֹת אַף־כִּי גְדֹלוֹת הֵנָּה וְנֶהְדָּפוֹת בְּרוּחַ עַזָּה מָשׁוֹט קָטֹן יִנְהַג אֹתָן אֶל־כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־יַחְפֹּץ הַחֹבֵל כֵּן גַּם־הַלָּשׁוֹן אֵבָר קָטֹן הִיא וּגְדֹלוֹת תְּדַבֵּר׃   
James 3:5 - הָכַנָא אָפ לֵשָׁנָא הַדָּמָא הו זעוּרָא ומֵשׁתַּעלֵא אָפ נוּרָא זעוּרתָּא עָבֵא סַגִּיֵאא מַוקדָא .   
James 3:5 - So also the tongue is a small member, and uplifteth itself. A little fire also burneth many forests; [Obee sagiyee mauqdo.]   
James 3:5 - So likewise the tongue is a small member, and it exalteth itself. Also a little fire inflameth large forests.    
James 3:5 - Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Likewise, a small fire sets ablaze the large forests    
James 3:5 - הִנֵּה מַה־גָּדוֹל הַיַּעַר וְאֵשׁ קְטַנָּה תַּבְעִירֶנּוּ גַּם־הַלָּשׁוֹן אֵשׁ הִיא עוֹלָם מָלֵא עַוְלָה׃   
James 3:6 - ולֵשָׁנָא נוּרָא הו ועָלמָא דַּחטִיתָא אַיכ עָבָא הו והוּ לֵשָׁנָא כַּד אִיתַוהי בּהַדָּמַין מכַתֵּם לֵה לכֻלֵה פַּגרַן ומַוקֵד יוּבָּלֵא דּשַׁרבָתַן דּרָהטִין אַיכ גִּיגלֵא ויָקֵד אָפ הוּ בּנוּרָא .   
James 3:6 - and the tongue is a fire, a world of sin, like a forest is the tongue itself among our members; it defileth all of our body, and burneth the course of our generations which run (forward) as a wheel, and kindleth also itself with fire.    
James 3:6 - Now the tongue is a fire, and the world of sin is like a forest. And this tongue, which is one among our members, marreth our whole body; and it inflameth the series of our generations that roll on like a wheel; and it is itself on fire.   
James 3:6 - The tongue is a fire, and the sinful world like a forest: that very tongue, while it is among our members, can defile our whole body, and set on fire the records of our race which have rolled down from the beginning: and in the end it is consumed by fire.   
James 3:6 - (כֵּן) הַלָּשׁוֹן נִצֶּבֶת בֵּין אֵבָרֵינוּ הַמַּגְאֶלֶת אֶת־כָּל־הַגּוּף וּמְלַהֶטֶת אֶת־גַּלְגַּל הֲוָיָתֵנוּ וְהִיא לְהוּטָה בְּאֵשׁ גֵּיהִנֹּם׃   
James 3:7 - כֻּלהוּן גֵּיר כּיָנֵא דּחַיוָתָא וַדפָרַחתָא ורַחשָׁא דּיַמָא וַדיַבשָׁא מֵשׁתַּעבּדִין לַכיָנָא דּאנָשׁוּתָא .   
James 3:7 - For every nature of animals, and of birds, and reptiles of the sea, and of the dry land, have been subjected to the human nature;    
James 3:7 - For all natures of beasts and birds and reptiles, of the sea or land, are subjugated by the nature of man.    
James 3:7 - For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of creatures of the sea and of the land are under the subjugation of the will of man.   
James 3:7 - כִּי כָּל־מִין בְּהֵמָה וְעוֹף וְרֶמֶשׂ וְחַיּוֹת הַיָּם יִכָּבֵשׁ וְנִכְבָּשִׁים הֵם עַל־יְדֵי מִין הָאָדָם׃   
James 3:8 - לֵשָׁנָא דֵּין אנָשׁ לָא אֵשׁכַּח דּנֵכבּשִׁיוהי בִּישׁתָּא הָדֵא דּלָא מֵתּתַּכסָא מלֵא הוּ סַמָא דּמַותָּא .   
James 3:8 - but the tongue no one can subdue; this is an evil not ordered, (and) full of the poison of death.    
James 3:8 - But the tongue hath no one been able to tame: it is an evil thing, not coercible, and full of deadly poison.    
James 3:8 - But the tongue no man can tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

James 3:9 - בֵּה מבַרכִינַן למָריָא וַאבָא ובֵה לָיטִינַן לַבנַינָשָׁא דּבַדמוּתָא דַּאלָהָא עבִידִין .   
James 3:9 - For by it we bless the Lord and the Father, and by it we curse men who in the likeness of Aloha were made;    
James 3:9 - For with it, we bless the Lord and Father; and with it we curse men, who were made in the image of God:   
James 3:9 - By it we bless the LORD and the Father; and by it we curse men, who are made in the image of God:   
James 3:9 - בָּהּ נְבָרֵךְ אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים אָבִינוּ וּבָהּ נְקַלֵּל אֶת־הָאֲנָשִׁים הָעֲשׂוֹּיִם בְּצֶלֶם אֱלֹהִים׃   
James 3:10 - ומֵנֵה מֵן פּוּמָא נָפקָן בּוּרכָּתָא ולַוטָתָא לָא וָלֵא אַחַי דּהָלֵין הָכַנָא נֵסתַּערָן .   
James 3:10 - and from the same mouth go forth curses and blessings. My brethren, it is not fit that these should so be done.

James 3:11 - Can it be that one fountain shall send forth waters sweet and bitter ?    
James 3:11 - Can there flow from the same fountain, sweet waters and bitter?   
James 3:11 - Can there spring forth from the same fountain, both sweet water and bitter water?   
James 3:11 - הֲיַבִּיעַ הַמַּעְיָן מְתוּקִים וּמָרִים מִמּוֹצָא אֶחָד׃    
James 3:12 - אַו דַּלמָא מֵשׁכּחָא תִּתָּא אַחַי דּזַיתֵּא תֵּעבֵּד אַו גּפֵתָּא תּאִנֵא הָכַנָא אָפ לָא מַיָא מַלִיחֵא מֵשׁכּחִין דּנֵתעַבדּוּן חלַיָא .    
James 3:12 - Or can the fig-tree, my brethren, make olives, or the vines figs? thus also [Hocano oph.] salt waters cannot be made sweet.

James 3:13 - מַנוּ מֵנכוּן דּחַכִּים וַרדֵא נחַוֵא עבָדַוהי בּהוּפָּכֵא שַׁפִּירֵא בּחֵכמתָא מַכִּיכתָּא .   
James 3:13 - Who of you is wise and instructed ? let him show his works in good conversations in meek wisdom.    
James 3:13 - Who is wise and instructed among you ? Let him show his works in praiseworthy actions, with modest wisdom.    
James 3:13 - Who is wise among you and has training? let him prove his words by his good deeds, in the humbleness of wisdom.    
James 3:13 - מִי בָכֶם חָכָם וְנָבוֹן יַרְאֶה בְּדַרְכּוֹ הַטּוֹבָה אֶת־מַעֲשָׂיו בְּעַנְוַת הַחָכְמָה׃   
James 3:14 - אֵן דֵּין חסָמָא מַרִירָא אִית בּכוּן אַו חֵריָנָא בּלֵבַּיכּוּן לָא תֵּתחַתּרוּן עַל קוּשׁתָּא וַתּדַגּלוּן .   
James 3:14 - But if you have bitter envy among yourselves, or contention be in your hearts, be not inflated against the truth, nor lie;    
James 3:14 - But if bitter envy be in you, or contention in your hearts, exalt not yourselves against the truth, and lie not.    
James 3:14 - But if you have bitter envying among you, or strife in your hearts, do not boast and do not lie against the truth.    
James 3:14 - וְאִם־קִנְאָה מָרָה וּמְרִיבָה בִּלְבַבְכֶם אַל־תִּתְהַלֲלוּ וְאַל־תְּשַׁקְּרוּ בָּאֱמֶת׃   
James 3:15 - מֵטֻל דּהָדֵא חֵכמתָא מֵן לעֵל לָא נֵחתַּת אֵלָא אִיתֵיה אַרעָנָיתָּא מֵן חוּשָׁבֵא דּנַפשָׁא ומֵן שׁאִדֵא .   
James 3:15 - because this wisdom from above descendeth not; but is earthly, from the reasonings of the soul, and from demons.    
James 3:15 - For this wisdom cometh not down from above; but is earthly, and from the devices of the soul, and from demons.    
James 3:15 - This wisdom does not come from above, but it is earthly, sensual, devilish.   
James 3:15 - לֹא זֹאת הַחָכְמָה הַיֹּרֶדֶת מִמָּעַל כִּי אִם־חָכְמַת הַחֶלֶד וְהַיֵּצֶר וְהַשֵּׁדִים׃   
James 3:16 - אַיכָּא גֵּיר דּאִית חסָמָא וחֵריָנָא תַּמָן אָפ דּלוּחיָא וכֻלמֵדֵּם דּבִישׁ .   
James 3:16 - For where there are envy and contention, there also are tumult and every thing that is evil.    
James 3:16 - For where envy and contention are, there also is confusion, and every thing wrong.   
James 3:16 - For wherever envy and strife are, there is confusion and every sort of evil.   
James 3:16 - כִּי־בִמְקוֹם קִנְאָה וּמְרִיבָה שָׁם מְהוּמָה וְכָל־מַעֲשֶׂה רָע׃    
James 3:17 - חֵכמתָא דֵּין דּמֵן לעֵל דַּכיָא הי ומַליָא שׁלָמָא ומַכִּיכָא ומֵשׁתַּמעָניָא ומַליָא רַחמֵא ופאִרֵא טָבֵא וַדלָא פָּלגּוּתָא הי ובַאפֵּא לָא נָסבָּא .   
James 3:17 - But the wisdom that is from above is pure, and full of peace, and meekness, and obedience, and full of mercies and good fruits, and is without division, and faces accepteth not.    
James 3:17 - But the wisdom which is from above, is pure, and full of peace, and mild, and submissive, and full of compassion and of good fruits, and without partiality, and without respect of persons.    
James 3:17 - But the wisdom that is from above is first pure then full of peace, and gentle, obedient, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.   
James 3:17 - אֲבָל הַחָכְמָה אֲשֶׁר מִמַּעַל טְהוֹרָה הִיא אַף־אֹהֶבֶת שָׁלוֹם וּמַכְרַעַת לְכַף־זְכוּת וְלֹא עֹמֶדֶת עַל־דַּעְתָּהּ וּמְלֵאָה רַחֲמִים וּפְרִי טוֹב בְּלֹא־לֵב וָלֵב וְאֵין חֲנֻפָּה בָּהּ׃   
James 3:18 - פּאִרֵא דֵּין דּזַדִּיקוּתָא בּשַׁינָא מֵזדַּרעִין לַאילֵין דּעָבדִּין שׁלָמָא .   
James 3:18 - But the fruits of righteousness in quietness are sown by them who make peace.    
James 3:18 - And the fruits of righteousness are sown in stillness, by them who make peace.   
James 3:18 - And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by the peacemakers.   
James 3:18 - וּפְרִי הַצְּדָקָה בְּשָׁלוֹם יִזָּרֵעַ לְעֹשֵׂי הַשָּׁלוֹם׃    
James 4:1 - מֵן אַיכָּא אִית בּכוּן קרָבֵא ומַצוָתָא לָא הוָא מֵן רגִיגָתָא דּמַקרבָן בּהַדָּמַיכּוּן .   
James 4:1 - From whence are there among you wars and strifes ? Is it not from the lusts which war in your members?    
James 4:1 - Whence is it, that there are among you fightings and broils ? Is it not from the lusts, which war in your members?    
James 4:1 - FROM whence come conflicts and quarrels among you? Is it not from the lusts that war in your members?   
James 4:1 - הַמִּלְחָמוֹת וְהַמְּדָנִים אֲשֶׁר בֵּינֵיכֶם מֵאַיִן הֵמָּה הֲלֹא מִתּוֹךְ הַתַּאֲוֹת הַמִּתְגָּרוֹת בְּאֵבָרֵיכֶם׃   
James 4:2 - מֵתרַגרגִין אנתּוּן ולַיתּ לכוּן וקָטלִין אנתּוּן וטָנִין אנתּוּן ולָא אָתיָא בּאִידַיכּוּן ונָצֵין אנתּוּן וַקרָבֵא עָבדִּין אנתּוּן ולַיתּ לכוּן מֵטֻל דּלָא שָׁאלִין אנתּוּן .   
James 4:2 - You desire, and have not; you kill and are emulous, yet it cometh not into your hands; you strive and make wars, and nothing have because you do not ask;    
James 4:2 - Ye covet, and possess not; and ye kill, and envy, and effect nothing: and ye fight and make attacks; and ye have not, because ye ask not.   
James 4:2 - You covet, and do not obtain; you kill and envy, but you cannot possess; you strive and fight, yet you have nothing, because you do not ask.   
James 4:2 - אַתֶּם מִתְאַוִּים וְאֵין לָכֶם תְּרַצְּחוּ וּתְקַנְאוּ וְהַשֵּׂג לֹא תַשִּׂיגוּ תָּרִיבוּ וְתִלָּחֲמוּ וְאֵין לָכֶם מִפְּנֵי שֶׁלּא־שְׁאֶלְתֶּם׃    
James 4:3 - שָׁאלִין אנתּוּן ולָא נָסבִּין אנתּוּן מֵטֻל דּבִישָׁאיִת שָׁאלִין אנתּוּן אַיכ דַּתּתַרסוּן רגִיגָתכוּן .   
James 4:3 - you ask and receive not, because you ask wickedly, as that you may cherish your lusts.    
James 4:3 - Ye ask, and receive not; because ye ask wickedly, that ye may pamper your lusts.

James 4:4 - גַּיָרֵא לָא יָדעִין אנתּוּן דּרֵחמתֵה דּעָלמָא הָנָא בּעֵלדּבָבוּתָא הי דַּאלָהָא אַינָא הָכִיל דּצָבֵא דּנֵהוֵא רָחמָא דּעָלמָא הָנָא בּעֵלדּבָבָא הָוֵא לַאלָהָא .   
James 4:4 - Adulterers, know you not that the friendship of this world is enmity with Aloha ? He, therefore, who willeth to be the friend of this world, hath become the enemy of Aloha.    
James 4:4 - Ye adulterers, know ye not, that the love of the world is hostility towards God ? He therefore who chooseth to be a lover of this world, is the enemy of God.   
James 4:4 - O you adulterers! Do you not know that the love for worldly things is enmity with God? Whosoever, therefore, esteems worldly things is the enemy of God.   
James 4:4 - (הַנֹּאֲפִים וְ) הַנֹּאֲפוֹת הֲלֹא יְדַעְתֶּם כִּי־אַהֲבַת הָעוֹלָם אֵיבַת אֱלֹהִים הִיא וְעַתָּה הֶחָפֵץ לִהְיוֹת אֹהֵב הָעוֹלָם יִהְיֶה אֹיֵב לֵאלֹהִים׃   
James 4:5 - אַו דַּלמָא סרִיקָאיִת סָברִין אנתּוּן דֵּאמַר כּתָבָא דּבַטנָנָא רָגָּא רוּחָא דּעָמרָא בַּן .   
James 4:5 - Or do you vainly think that the scripture saith, that In emulation desireth the Spirit who dwelleth in us?    
James 4:5 - Or think ye, that the scripture hath vainly said: The spirit dwelling in us lusteth with envy?   
James 4:5 - Or do you think that the scripture said in vain, The pride that dwells in us is provoked by jealousy?   
James 4:5 - הַתְדַמּוּ בְנַפְשְׁכֶם כִּי לָרִיק אָמַר הַכָּתוּב בְּקִנְאָה יִתְאַוֶּה לָרוּחַ אֲשֶׁר הִשְׁכִּין בְּקִרְבֵּנוּ׃   
James 4:6 - טַיבּוּתָא דֵּין יַתִּירתָּא יַהב לַן מָרַן מֵטֻל הָדֵא אֵמַר דַּאלָהָא ממַכֵּכ לרָמֵא וַלמַכִּיכֵא יָהֵב טַיבּוּתָא .   
James 4:6 - But more excellent grace hath our Lord given unto us. Wherefore he saith, Aloha humbleth the proud, and to the humble he giveth grace.    
James 4:6 - But our Lord hath given us more grace. Therefore he said: The Lord humbleth the lofty, and giveth grace to the lowly.    
James 4:6 - But our LORD has given us abundant grace. Therefore he said, God humbles the proud, but gives grace to the humble.    
James 4:6 - וְגַם יַגְדִּיל לָתֶת־חֵן עַל־כֵּן הַכָּתוּב אוֹמֵר אֱלֹהִים לַלֵּצִים יָלִיץ וְלַעֲנָוִים יִתֶּן־חֵן׃   
James 4:7 - אֵשׁתַּעבַּדו הָכִיל לַאלָהָא וקוּמו לוּקבַל סָטָנָא ועָרֵק מֵנכוּן .    
James 4:7 - BE subject, therefore, unto Aloha; withstand Satana, and he will flee from you;    
James 4:7 - Subject yourselves therefore to God; and stand firm against Satan, and he will flee from you.   
James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist Satan, and he will flee from you.   
James 4:7 - לָכֵן הִכָּנְעוּ לִפְנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים הִתְיַצְּבוּ נֶגֶד הַשָּׂטָן וְיִבְרַח מִפְּנֵיכֶם׃   
James 4:8 - וַקרוּבו לוָת אַלָהָא ונֵתקַרַב לכוּן דַּכַּו אִידַיכּוּן חַטָיֵא קַדֵּשׁו לֵבַּוָתכוּן פּלִיגַי נַפשָׁא .   
James 4:8 - and draw nigh unto Aloha, and he will be nigh you. Purify your hands, sinners, and sanctify your hearts, divided of soul.    
James 4:8 - Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners: sanctify your hearts, ye divided in mind.    
James 4:8 - Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, O you sinners! And purify your hearts, O you of doubtful mind!   
James 4:8 - קִרְבוּ לֵאלֹהִים וְיִקְרַב אֲלֵיכֶם רַחֲצוּ יְדֵיכֶם הַחַטָּאִים טַהֲרוּ לְבַבְכֶם חֲלוּקֵי הַלֵּבָב׃   
James 4:9 - אֵתמַכַּכו וֵאתַּאבלו וגוּחכּכוּן לֵאבלָא נֵתהפֵכ וחַדוַתכוּן לעָקתָא .   
James 4:9 - Be humbled and sorrowful, and let your laughter be turned into grief, and your gladness into anxiety.    
James 4:9 - Humble yourselves, and mourn: let your laughter be turned into mourning, and your joy into grief.   
James 4:9 - Humble yourselves, and mourn; let your laughter be turned to weeping, and your joy to sorrow.

James 4:10 - אֵתמַכַּכו קדָם מָריָא וַנרַמרֵמכוּן .   
James 4:10 - Be humbled before the Lord, and he will exalt you.    
James 4:10 - Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.   
James 4:10 - Humble yourselves before the LORD and he shall lift you up.   
James 4:10 - הִשָּׁפְלוּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָֹה וְהוּא יָרִים אֶתְכֶם׃    
James 4:11 - לָא תֵּהווּן ממַללִין עַל חדָדֵא אַחַי הַו גֵּיר דַּממַלֵל עַל אַחוּהי אַו דָּאֵן לַאחוּהי ממַלֵל עַל נָמוּסָא ודָאֵן לנָמוּסָא וֵאן לנָמוּסָא דָּאֵן אַנתּ לָא הוַיתּ עָבוּדֵה דּנָמוּסָא אֵלָא דַּיָנֵה .   
James 4:11 - Speak not against one another, my brethren; for he who speaketh against his brother, or judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law. And if the law thou judgest, thou art not a doer of the law, but the judge of it.    
James 4:11 - Speak not against each other, my brethren; for he that speaketh against his brother, or judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law. And if thou judgest the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but its judge.

James 4:11 - אַחַי אַל־תְּדַבְּרוּ אִישׁ בְּרֵעֵהוּ הַמְחָרֵף אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ וְדָן אֶת־אָחִיו אֶת־הַתּוֹרָה הוּא מְחָרֵף וְאֶת־הַתּוֹרָה הוּא דָן וְאִם־תָּדִין אֶת־הַתּוֹרָה אֵינְךָ מְקַיֵּם הַתּוֹרָה כִּי אִם־דָּנָהּ׃    
James 4:12 - חַד הוּ סָאֵם נָמוּסָא ודַיָנָא דּהוּ מֵשׁכַּח דּנַחֵא ונַובֵּד אַנתּ דֵּין מַן אַנתּ דּדָאֵן אַנתּ לֵה לקַרִיבָכ .   
James 4:12 - For one is the appointer [Soem-nomoso.] of the law and the Judge, who can save and destroy. But thou, who art thou, who judgest thy neighbour ?    
James 4:12 - There is one Law-giver and Judge, who can make alive, and [can] destroy: but who art thou, that thou judgest thy neighbor ?   
James 4:12 - For there is one lawgiver and judge, who is able to save and to destroy: who are you to judge your neighbor?    
James 4:12 - אֶחָד הוּא הַמְחֹקֵק (וְהַשֹּׁפֵט) אֲשֶׁר יָכוֹל לְהוֹשִׁיעַ וּלְאַבֵּד וּמִי אַתָּה כִּי תָדִין אֶת־עֲמִיתֶךָ׃   
James 4:13 - מָנָא דֵּין נאִמַר אָפ עַל אַילֵין דָּאמרִין דּיַומָנָא אַו מחָר אָזִלינַן לַמדִינתָּא אַידָא דּהִי ועָבדִּינַן תַּמָן שַׁנתָּא חדָא ומֵתּתַּגּרִינַן ויָתרִינַן .   
James 4:13 - But what shall we say of them who say, To-day or tomorrow we will go to this city, or that, and work there one year, and negotiate, and make gain?    
James 4:13 - But what shall we say of those, who say: To-day or to-morrow we will go to such or such a city, and will abide there a year; and we will traffic, and get gain ?

James 4:13 - הוֹי הָאֹמְרִים נֵלְכָה הַיּוֹם וּמָחָר לְעִיר פְּלוֹנִית אַלְמוֹנִית וְנַעֲשֶׂה־שָּׁם שָׁנָה אַחַת לִסְחֹר בָּהּ וּלְהַרְבּוֹת הוֹן׃    
James 4:14 - ולָא יָדעִין מָנָא הָוֵא מחָר מָנָא אֵנוּן גֵּיר חַיַין אֵלָא אֵן לַהגָּא דּקַלִיל מֵתחזֵא וטָלֵק ומַופֵּא .   
James 4:14 - and they know not what shall be on the morrow: for what is our life, but a vapour which for a little while is seen, and vanisheth and endeth ?    
James 4:14 - And they know not what will be to-morrow: for what is our life, but an exhalation that is seen a little while, and then vanisheth and is gone ?   
James 4:14 - They do not know what will happen tomorrow! For what is our life? It is but a vapour, which appears for a little while, and then vanishes away.   
James 4:14 - וְלֹא תֵדְעוּ מַה־יֵּלֵד יוֹם מָחָר כִּי מֶה חַיֵּיכֶם עָשָׁן הַנִּרְאֶה כִּמְעַט־רֶגַע וְאַחַר כָּלָה וַיֵּלַךְ׃   
James 4:15 - חלָפ דּנאִמרוּן דֵּאן מָריָא נֵצבֵּא ונִחֵא עָבדִּינַן הָדֵא אַו הָי .    
James 4:15 - For instead they should say, If the Lord will, and we live, we will do this or that.   
James 4:15 - Whereas they should say: If the Lord please, and we live, we will do this or that.   
James 4:15 - Instead of that they should say, If the LORD will, we shall live, and do this, or that.   
James 4:15 - תַּחַת אֲשֶׁר תֹּאמְרוּ אִם־יִרְצֶה יְהוָֹה וְנִחְיֶה נַעֲשֶׂה כָּזֹה וְכָזֶה׃   
James 4:16 - מֵשׁתַּבהרִין בַּחתִירוּתהוּן כֻּל שׁוּבהָרָא דַּאיכ הָנָא בִּישָׁא הו .   
James 4:16 - They glory in their pride. All glorying such as this is from the Evil.    
James 4:16 - They glory in their vaunting. All such glorying is evil.   
James 4:16 - But now they are proud in their boasting: all such pride is evil.   
James 4:16 - עַתָּה תִּתְהַלֲלוּ בְגַאֲוַתְכֶם וְכָל־תְּהִלָּה כָזֹאת רָעָה הִיא׃    
James 4:17 - וַאינָא דּיָדַע טָבתָא ולָא עָבֵד לָה חטָהָא הָוֵא לֵה .    
James 4:17 - And he who knoweth the good and doeth it not, sin is to him.    
James 4:17 - He that knoweth the good, and doeth it not, to him is sin.   
James 4:17 - Therefore he who knows to do good, and does not do it, to him it is sin.   
James 4:17 - לָכֵן הַיּוֹדֵעַ לַעֲשׂוֹת הַטּוֹב וְלֹא יַעֲשֶׂנּוּ חֵטְא הוּא לוֹ׃    
James 5:1 - אָו עַתִּירֵא אַילֵלו וַבכַו עַל דּוּוָנֵא דָּאתֵין עלַיכּוּן .    
James 5:1 - O rich men, howl and weep for the miseries which are coming upon you.    
James 5:1 - O ye rich ones, wail and weep, on account of the miseries that are coming upon you.   
James 5:1 - O YOU rich men, weep and howl for the miseries which shall come upon you!   
James 5:1 - הוֹי הָעֲשִׁירִים בְּכוּ וְהֵילִילוּ עַל־הַצָּרוֹת אֲשֶׁר תָּבֹאנָה עֲלֵיכֶם׃   
James 5:2 - עוּתרכוּן גֵּיר אֵתחַבַּל וַסרִי ומָאנַיכּוּן אֵתֵאכֵלו מֵן סָסָא .    
James 5:2 - Your riches are corrupt and stink, and your vestments are eaten of the moth,    
James 5:2 - For your wealth is spoiled and putrid; and your garments are moth-eaten:   
James 5:2 - Your riches are destroyed and rotted, and your garments are moth-eaten   
James 5:2 - עָשְׁרְכֶם בָּלָה וּבִגְדֵיכֶם אֲכָלָם עָשׁ׃   
James 5:3 - ודַהבכוּן וסאִמכוּן אַשׁחֵת לֵה ושׁוּחתּהוּן הָויָא לסָהדּוּתָא עלַיכּוּן והִי עתִידָא דּתֵאכוּל בֵּסרכוּן נוּרָא כַּנֵשׁתּוּן לכוּן ליַומָתָא אחרָיֵא .   
James 5:3 - and your gold and your silver rusteth, and the rust of them is for a witness against you, and is to eat your flesh. You have gathered fire for you for the last days !    
James 5:3 - and your gold and your silver have contracted rust; and the rust of them will be testimony against you; and it will eat your flesh. Ye have heaped up a fire to you against the latter days.    
James 5:3 - Your gold and silver are tarnished, and the rust of them will be a testimony against you, and shall eat your flesh. The treasures which you have heaped together will be as fire to you for the last days.   
James 5:3 - זְהַבְכֶם וְכַסְפְּכֶם כִּסָּתַם חֶלְאָה וְהָיְתָה חֶלְאָתָם בָּכֶם לְעֵדוּת וְאָכְלָה כְּמוֹ־אֵשׁ אֶת־בְּשַׂרְכֶם זֶה הוּא הָאוֹצָר אֲצַרְתֶּם לָכֶם לְקֵץ הַיָּמִים׃   
James 5:4 - הָא אַגרָא דּפָעלֵא דַּחצַדו אַרעָתכוּן הַו דַּטלַמתּוּן קָעֵא וַגעָתָא דּחָצוּדֵא לֵאדנַוהי דּמָריָא צבַאוּת עֵלַת .   
James 5:4 - Lo, the hire of the labourers who have reaped your lands, which you have refused, clamoureth, and the cry of the harvests to the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth hath ascended.    
James 5:4 - Behold, the wages of the laborers who have reaped your ground, which ye have wrongfully retained, crieth out; and the clamor of the reapers hath entered the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.    
James 5:4 - Behold, the wage of the labourers, who have reaped down your fields, that which you have fraudulently kept back, cries: and the cry of the reapers has already entered into the ears of the LORD of sabaoth.   
James 5:4 - הִנֵּה שְׂכַר הַפֹּעֲלִים אֹסְפֵי קְצִיר שְׂדֹתֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר עֲשַׁקְתֶּם צֹעֵק עֲלֵיכֶם וְצַעֲקַת הַקּוֹצְרִים בָּאָה בְאָזְנֵי יְהוָֹה צְבָאוֹת׃   
James 5:5 - בּסֵמתּוּן גֵּיר עַל אַרעָא וֵאתלַעַבתּוּן ותַרסִיתּוּן פַּגרַיכּוּן אַיכ דַּליַומָא דּנֵכסתָא .   
James 5:5 - For you have lived daintily on the earth, and have been wanton, and have nourished your bodies, as for the day of slaughter.    
James 5:5 - For ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and revelled, and feasted your bodies as in a day of slaughter.    
James 5:5 - For you have had your luxuries on earth and have been greedy; you have fed your bodies as for the day of slaughter.    
James 5:5 - הִתְעַדַּנְתֶּם בָּאָרֶץ וְהִתְעַנַּגְתֶּם וְהִשְׁמַנְתֶּם אֶת־לִבְּכֶם כְּמוֹ לְיוֹם טִבְחָה׃   
James 5:6 - חַיֵבתּוּן וַקטַלתּוּן לזַדִּיקָא ולָא קָם לוּקבַלכוּן .    
James 5:6 - You have condemned and have killed the just, and he hath not resisted you.    
James 5:6 - Ye have condemned and slain the just, and none resisted you.   
James 5:6 - You have condemned and murdered the righteous; and yet he does not resist you.   
James 5:6 - הִרְשַׁעְתֶּם וַהֲמִתֶּם אֶת־הַצַּדִּיק וְהוּא נַעֲנֶה לֹא־יִפְתַּח פִּיו׃   
James 5:7 - אַנתּוּן דֵּין אַחַי אַגַּרו רוּחכוּן עדַמָא למֵאתִיתֵה דּמָריָא אַיכ אַכָּרָא דַּמסַכֵּא לפאִרֵא יַקִירֵא דַּארעֵה ומַגַּר רוּחֵה עלַיהוּן עדַמָא דּנָסֵב מֵטרָא בּכִירָיָא וַלקִישָׁיָא .   
James 5:7 - BUT you, my brethren, prolong your spirit until the coming of the Lord; as the husbandman who expecteth the precious fruits of his lands, and prolongeth his spirit for them, until he receive the rain the early and the latter;    
James 5:7 - But, my brethren, be ye patient until the advent of the Lord; like the husbandman, who waiteth for the precious fruits of his ground, and is patient as to them, until he receive the early and the latter rain.   
James 5:7 - But you, my brethren, be patient, until the coming of the LORD, just as the husbandman waits for the precious crops of his field, and has long patience for it, until he receives the early and the latter rain.   
James 5:7 - לָכֵן אַחַי דֹּמּוּ וְהוֹחִילוּ עַד־בּוֹא הָאָדוֹן הִנֵּה הָאִכָּר מְחַכֶּה לְטוּב תְּבוּאַת הָאֲדָמָה וּמְיַחֵל כִּי־יֵרֵד עָלֶיהָ גֶּשֶׁם יוֹרֶה וּמַלְקוֹשׁ׃   
James 5:8 - הָכַנָא אָפ אַנתּוּן אַגַּרו רוּחכוּן ולֵבַּוָתכוּן שַׁרַרו קֵרבַּת לָה גֵּיר מֵאתִיתֵה דּמָרַן .   
James 5:8 - so also you, prolong your spirit, and your hearts confirm; for the coming of our Lord draweth nigh.    
James 5:8 - So also be ye patient, and fortify your hearts; for the advent of our Lord draweth nigh   
James 5:8 - You be patient also: strengthen your hearts: for the coming of our LORD is at hand.

James 5:9 - לָא תֵּתַּנחוּן חַד עַל חַד אַחַי דּלָא תֵּתּדִינוּן הָא גֵּיר דִּינָא קדָם תַּרעָא קָאֵם .   
James 5:9 - Groan [Lo tetanchun.] not one against another, my brethren, that you be not judged; for, behold, the Judge standeth before the door.    
James 5:9 - Be not querulous one against another, my brethren, lest ye be judged: for lo, the judgment , standeth before the door.    
James 5:9 - Complain not one against another, my brethren, lest you be condemned: for behold judgment is at hand.    
James 5:9 - אֶחָי אַל־תִּתְאוֹנֲנוּ אִישׁ עַל־רֵעֵהוּ פֶּן־תִּשָּׁפֵטוּ הִנֵּה הַדַּיָּן עֹמֵד בַּפָּתַח׃   
James 5:10 - דּמוּתָא לַנבִיֵא סַבו לכוּן אַחַי למַגּרַת רוּחָא דֻּאולצָנַיכּוּן הָנוּן דּמַלֵלו בַּשׁמֵה דּמָריָא .   
James 5:10 - The example of the prophets take to you, my brethren, to prolong your spirits in your afflictions, them who have spoken in the name of the Lord.    
James 5:10 - For patience in your afflictions, my brethren, take to you the example of the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord.   
James 5:10 - My brethren, take the prophets who have spoken in the name of the LORD, for an example of patience in your suffering.    
James 5:10 - אֶחָי הַנְּבִיאִים אֲשֶׁר דִּבְּרוּ בְּשֵׁם יְהוָֹה הֵם יִהְיוּ לָכֶם לְמוֹפֵת הָעֳנִי וְהַתּוֹחֶלֶת׃   
James 5:11 - הָא גֵּיר יָהבִּינַן טוּבָא לַאילֵין דּסַיבַּרו שׁמַעתּוּן מסַיבּרָנוּתֵה דּאִיָוב וחַרתָא דַּעבַד לֵה מָריָא חזַיתּוּן מֵטֻל דַּמרַחמָן הוּ מָריָא וַמרַחפָן .   
James 5:11 - For, behold, we give blessedness to them who have endured. You have heard of the patience of Iob, and the end which the Lord wrought for him you have seen; because that merciful is the Lord and compassionate.    
James 5:11 - For lo, we ascribe blessedness to them who have borne suffering. Ye have heard of the patience of Job; and ye have seen the result which the Lord wrought for him: for the Lord is merciful and compassionate.

James 5:12 - But before every thing, my brethren, swear not; by heaven nor by earth, nor with any other oath; but let your word be Yes, yes, and No, no, that you be not bound under condemnation.

James 5:16 - But confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. For great is the power of that prayer which the righteous prayeth.

James 5:17 - Elia also was a man of suffering, as we; and he prayed that the rain should not fall upon the earth, and it fell not (for) three years and six months.    
James 5:17 - Elijah also was a man of sensations like us, and he prayed that rain might not descend upon the earth; and it descended not, for three years and six months.

James 5:20 - נֵדַּע דּהַו דּמַהפֵּכ לחַטָיָא מֵן טָעיוּתָא דֻּאורחֵה מַחֵא נַפשֵׁה מֵן מַותָּא ועָטֵא סוּגָאא דַּחטָהַוהי .   
James 5:20 - let him know, that he who turneth a sinner from the error of his way, saveth his soul from death, and hideth the multitude of his sins.   
James 5:20 - let him know, that he who turneth the sinner from the error of his way, will resuscitate his soul from death, and will cover the multitude of his sins.   
James 5:20 - Let him know that he who converts a sinner from the error of his way, shall save his soul from death, and shall wipe out a multitude of sins.
